Zenith has been making movements in Le Locle since 1865, and the El Primero — their automatic chronograph calibre is considered one of the finest ever made. The Porter Yoshida collaboration brings Japanese craft culture into contact with Swiss watchmaking in a way that feels genuinely considered rather than commercial.
Only a handful of these exist, and the Porter collaboration adds a collectible dimension beyond the watch itself — the bag included with the set is part of the story. The matte green ceramic dial is the kind of material combination that photographs terribly and looks stunning in person.
